Juan Saenz

Juan moved to Polk-Vernon in January 2024 and works as a banker in the Bishop Arts District. He loves traveling, classic cars, and bicycles. As part of our board he hopes to help increase resident participation and have an event with 100+ people in attendance. Desiree Rios

Desiree moved to the Polk-Vernon neighborhood in Summer 2025 and works as a small business owner in Real Estate and Construction. Outside of work she enjoys MMA & endurance running and is hoping to see people get active in our community! Her goal for the neighborhood association is to see it become a catalyst for belonging and community amongst residents, and she hopes to start new activities like a walking group to provide opportunities to talk and get to know new people.

Vice President

Josey’s moved back to her family home in Polk-Vernon in November 2021 and is very involved in the community. She has worked as a banker for 19+ years and outside of work she loves to volunteer. She’s a member of the American Heart Association and a long time board member for DISD. She hopes to see an increase in membership this year!

Treasurer

Josey Paloma

Isa was born and raised here in Oak Cliff and moved back to Polk-Vernon after college in 2024. She works as a sustainability consultant and is passionate about the environment. Outside of work she enjoys sewing, reading, and traveling with friends and family. This year Isa hopes to see a dedicated member base and a structure for meetings and events to grow engagement!
